One of my chinchillas, Puff
Hi, I'm Carlos! I'm a 3rd year Computer Science Games student at the University of Southern California.
I started my undergraduate degree at California State University Long Beach and transferred to USC after one year. After learning the core CS fundamentals, I decided to feed my passion for entertainment by specializing in CS Games. Luckily, I was at USC, the #1 ranked school for game development!
I've learned a lot about the game production process through classes in Game Design, Gameplay Programming, and Game Analysis. I've created tabletop and video games individually and with small teams. I'm about to embark on my largest game project in the coming months as I prepare for my senior capstone project where I'll work with a team of over 20 students to make a fully produced game!

Besides my main passion for games, I am also very passionate about themed entertainment. I am involved in multiple societies at my school that have given me the amazing opportunities to have backstage tours of Universal Hollywood and granted me access to the IAAPA conference in Orlando.
Another way that I express my passion for the physical experiences of themed entertainment is through my minor. I am studying Connected Devices and Making. This minor has helped me grow my passion for themed entertainment and creating IOT devices.
At USC I am involved in many clubs and societies where I can further explore what I'm passionate about. Most notably, I am currently the lead designer and creator of a new escape room experience. I am responsible for organizing and leading 15 other students through the entire production process of creating a polished, themed experience.
I also am a student-athlete on the Trojan Archery Team. This January I was part of the 3 person finalist team at USC that received a silver medal in the SIACC tournament in Chula Vista.
My Connect-4 Clock (patent pending) was featured in multiple maker conventions and on the official Raspberry Pi twitter.
